Slaven Bilic said that England was poor in their last group match

West Ham manager SlavenBilic has stated that England was quite poor in their game against Slovakia.

He said that the team lacked creativity despite having the major share of possession. He believes that England has been poor so far the Euros.

He said that England only has so much possession because they were facing a team that was sitting back and not trying to attack. Indeed, Slovakia did not attack at all during the whole game as they appeared to be looking for a 0-0 draw. Bilic said that it is normal that you will have a lot of possession if you are playing against a side that does not want to attack.

The West Ham manager said that he was even more disappointed with the lack of creativity displayed by the England side. He said that a team of England quality should be creating more chances when given this amount of possession but they have not managed anything during the game.

He said that England is struggling to beat teams that defend in numbers. However, he admitted that this is a problem that is faced by many top teams at the moment including World Champion Germany.

SlavenBilic believes that England still has their chances in the tournament, though. He said that England may find it easier to play against more attack-minded opponents. Indeed, forwards such as Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy, and Harry Kane will play better when given space and he believes that as the tournament goes no, England may find it easier to create chances.

SlavenBilic believes that Roy Hodgson was right to make changes to the team for their last game, and he does not feel that the changes have really disrupted the way England plays.
